Welcome to the Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at UNSW. The CIE is an academy for early career innovators and entrepreneurs, integrating extra-curricular & experiential learning activities with academics and research. We are hosted by UNSW, and engage with all UNSW schools, UNSW students and alumni, international universities, Australian industry and all levels of government.
The CIE was founded by a group of successful entrepreneurs in partnership with UNSW and the Australian School of Business in May 2007. These forward thinking innovators reflected on their personal career trajectories, and felt there were missing learning elements during their University years.
The central ambition today for the CIE is to improve the quality of innovative thinking in Australia - along with the entrepreneurial leadership skills to execute - for students, faculty members, alumni and the general entrepreneurial public.
