CAER Summer Scholarships for Economics Honours Students 2010

CAER provides scholarships to selected Economics students to give them the financial security to make progress on their Honours thesis over the summer.

CAER provides scholarships to selected Economics students to give them the financial security to make progress on their Honours thesis over the summer. They work under the supervision of their Honours thesis supervisor in January and February. Students should not have full-time work (or other) commitments for this period. CAER pays $1,500 in mid January, and then another $1,500 in mid February after the supervisor has informed CAER that the student has made satisfactory progress.

To apply, please submit your CV, academic transcript, proposed thesis topic (a short paragraph), and the name of your probable thesis supervisor. You should of course discuss this with your proposed supervisor beforehand.

It is anticipated that applicants will be informed of the selection outcomes by early December.

Eligibility: Excellent third-year-level students in Economics at UNSW are encouraged to apply. Similar students from other universities are also welcome to apply, but must be eligible for entry into the Economics Honours program at UNSW. Successful applicants are subsequently expected to complete their Honours degree at UNSW.
