Peer Mentoring
Peer mentoring at university typically involves experienced students supporting new students in their transition to University life. Each peer support program is slightly different, but in general, mentors attend a training day, are allocated one or more new students and meet with them a few times in the first session of study.
There are many Peer Support and Peer Mentoring programs within the University. More information on these programs, and how to join is available at: http://www.counselling.unsw.edu.au/coming_to_unsw/peer_mentoring/index.htm
