Julie has taken over the role of Associate Dean Education since March 2009. She comes from the School of Organisation and Management where she was the Associate Head of the School. Julie has been extremely active in Learning and teaching and has received: 2007 UNSW, 2007 Vice-Chancellor’s teaching award, 2008 Received a citation from Australian Teaching and Learning Council (previously Carrick Institute) for outstanding contribution to student learning in Australia.
In addition to a diverse range of management consulting work in UK and NZ since the early 1990s, plus a spell of Institutional auditing for the UK Higher Education Funding Council and Quality Assurance Agency, Tom has also occupied senior management roles as head of a UK Business School and Associate Head of School in New Zealand. His primary research interests include team leadership, management of emotional regimes and development of emotional capital in organisations. He has also written and researched on management communication, corporate citizenship and governance.
Tom’s current role in ASB is to support staff development and to research and develop policy and procedures relating to Learning and Teaching. He has been actively involved in the development of the ASB graduate attributes, Cross skilling initiative, Indigenous Winter and Summer Schools and the BCom review.

Michelle is the Manager of the EDU and comes from the Faculty of Science, UNSW, where she has been involved in working with education technology, mapping graduate attributes, e-portfolios, peer mentoring and tutor training. Michelle was awarded an ITET Fellowship and an Australian Teaching and Learning Council (previously Carrick Institute) Citation for her contribution to student learning and holds a Grad Cert in University Learning and Teaching. In 2007 -2008 she was the Australasian Co-VP for the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL).
Helena is the first point of contact for students and staff in the EDU office (Room G07 – ASB building). Helena can help you with any enquires and is happy to arrange appointments for you to see our Learning Advisors whenever you need assistance.
Louise Fitzgerald comes to us with extensive experience in providing learning and teaching support to staff and students at UTS. She has a Doctorate in Education, a Master of Education and Master of Arts (Applied Linguistics) from the University of Sydney. She has worked extensively in providing language, literacy, communication, and academic support training at UTS, the University of Sydney, the British Council and other higher education institutions in Australia, Indonesia and Cambodia. She is particularly interested in organizational communication and ethical communication in business-related contexts. Louise is available Monday to Thursday.
Ginette’s background is in literacy and communication having worked for several of the major universities in the Sydney region (including UNSW, UTS, UWS and USYD). Ginette is available Thursday and Fridays.
Carolyn supports students and staff in the Australian School of Business. She is highly experienced in providing Learning and Teaching support in a range of areas including the development of course outlines, curriculum mapping, peer assisted learning, tertiary transition and integrated learning across the disciplines. She coordinates the ASB Tutor Training Program and provides support for staff in the development of L&T portfolios for promotion and teaching award applications. She is currently working on the curriculum mapping of graduate attributes in undergraduate programs.

Linda joined the ASB in January 2009 as Educational Designer eLearning. She has worked in a variety of Educational Designer and teaching roles at the University of Wollongong, Roehampton University (London) and the Learning Group (Sydney). Linda holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and Communication (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wollongong, a Certificate of Online Education and Training from the University of London, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (Roehampton). She is currently completing her PhD in Education which investigates students' learning through their use of technology. Linda brings with her a great deal of expertise in the use of a range of technologies that facilitate e-learning.

Peter's role is primarily concerned with the development and support of online learning within the Australian School of Business. Peter works with individual academic staff members, as well as general administrative staff to ensure access to online learning and teaching is available, well organised, and appropriate for the needs of the Australian School of Business. Predominantly, this means working with WebCT, where Peter is the first point of contact.

Prior to coming to ASB, Uttra worked at the L&T@UNSW. In her current role, Uttra is working as the project coordinator for the Graduate Attributes and Curriculum mapping project.
Bill Twyman has joined the MBT Program as Course Development Manager. He worked as a professional freelance musician before managing the production of learning materials for the NSW Department of Education and Training. Bill was Centre Director at the Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre, Macquarie University, researching innovative uses of technology in learning and teaching, and has freelanced in roles for the Indigenous Festivals of Australia, Regional Conservatoriums of NSW, The Arts Unit, NSW Department of Education and Training, and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. He has a Masters Degree in Design Science (understanding a wide range of digital technologies).

Andrew Chambers focuses on improvements in the MBT teaching and learning experience, working with Course Coordinators and Facilitators to ensure best practice instructional design and distance learning. His priority is to maximise student learning outcomes through the design, development, evaluation and revision of MBT teaching and learning resources and practices. Andrew also plays a critical role in helping facilitators learn more about teaching effectively online and evaluating and developing the online technologies used within the program.
Andrew has a Master of Education; Graduate Certificate in Online Learning; BA (Psychology); Business Computing National Certificate in User Support and has worked in eLearning at UNSW since early 2001. Prior to working at UNSW Andrew was the eLearning Support Consultant at Massey University in New Zealand from 1995-2000. In total he has been working in support of Educational Technology for 19 years.
In addition to working on the MBT program Andrew also lectures in eLearning for the School of Education and is about to embark on a Doctorate in Education.

Mark Kinkade

Mark Kinkade currently manages the educational technology for the AGSM MBA Programs. In this role, he oversees a wide range of activities including strategic planning, needs assessment and researching new and upcoming e-learning technologies. He is responsible for the planning and implementation of new IT initiatives focused on broadening the reach and useability of the MBA Programs online for both students and instructors. His current areas of interest include web development, emerging social networking technologies and the latest in web technology. Coming from an inter-disciplinary background, Mark has a degree in Science Psychology with a minor in Computer Science. He went on to gain his Masters in Cognitive Science, with a focus on Cognitive Architecture and Artificial Intelligence.
